Associate Mixed Animal Veterinarian
Dr. Rylee Black is an associate veterinarian at Anderson Veterinary Service, where she has been
part of the team for the past two years. A graduate of the University of Minnesota College of
Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Rylee brings a decade of experience in veterinary medicine to her
work, with a career that began long before earning her doctorate. She previously worked as a
veterinary technician at Inver Grove Heights Animal Hospital, Plymouth Heights Pet Hospital,
and Dr. Eric Bohl LLC, experiences that gave her a strong foundation in both small and large
animal medicine.
She is a proud member of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners (AABP), the
American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), and the Minnesota Veterinary Medical
Association (MVMA). Through these organizations and her daily practice, Dr. Rylee stays
committed to advancing her skills and providing high-quality care to her patients.
Passionate about the variety that mixed animal practice provides, Dr. Rylee enjoys helping
animals and the people who care for them. She is particularly interested in advanced
reproductive technologies and lameness in cattle—areas where she finds great reward in
improving both animal well-being and agricultural productivity. She also values the challenge of
finding creative solutions that work not just for the animals, but also for the humans and farms
connected to them.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Rylee enjoys traveling, fishing, hiking, and bow-fishing. At
home, she loves spending time with her dogs, who are constant companions in her busy life.
Always up for an adventure, she dreams of traveling the world and exploring new places
whenever she has the chance.
For Dr. Rylee, the heart of veterinary medicine lies in the connections between people, animals,
and agriculture—and in making a difference across all three.
