Dr. Kate Nowak is a mixed animal veterinarian and practice owner at Anderson Veterinary Service. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota in 2018 and began practicing mixed animal medicine at Harmony Veterinary Clinic in Harmony, Minnesota. In 2022, she joined the Anderson Vet Service team. Dr. Kate is also an active member of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners (AABP) and the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA).
Dr. Kate is passionate about the fast-paced, ever-changing world of mixed animal practice—whether it’s providing compassionate care for a beloved family pet, or working with producers to make herd-wide management decisions on cattle operations. Her greatest professional joy comes from working with beef cattle in both cow/calf and feedlot operations, as well as performing surgical procedures. Still, she values the diversity of her work, which can range from treating cats to caring for camelids.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Kate enjoys farming with her family, playing sand volleyball, riding 4-wheelers or motorcycles, and spending time outdoors. She especially loves adventures with her husband and two stepsons—whether it’s fishing on a lake or cruising on a motorcycle through the mountains.
