Large Animal Technician and Handyman
Nathan has been part of the Anderson Veterinary Service team for six years, working as both a large animal technician and the clinic’s go-to handyman. Before joining AVS, he was a dairy farmer with a particular fondness for Jerseys, and while he no longer milks cows, he enjoys staying connected to the cattle industry through his work. A former client turned employee, Nathan brings both firsthand farming experience and practical skills to the team—whether that means assisting with herd work, troubleshooting problems, or occasionally serving as the designated “Miss Daisy” driver.
He values working alongside the diverse group of veterinarians and staff at AVS and takes pride in supporting producers and their animals in whatever way he can. His unique background helps bridge the gap between life on the farm and life in the clinic.
Outside of AVS, Nathan lives in the country with his wife, their daughter, and (in his words) “three more cats than I would have planned.” He enjoys woodworking, hunting, fishing, kayaking, and even the seasonal challenge of growing a giant pumpkin. Nathan is also active in his local church and treasures time with family and friends. His ideal day is simple: paddling a kayak alongside his brothers or spending quality time at home with the people he loves most.
Nathan’s humor, hard work, and hands-on skills make him an indispensable part of the AVS team.
